Vehicle Information

This is one of only 365 Racing Yellow RT/10's built in 2001. It has many significant improvements, upgrades, and modifications as listed below. The most obvious question is why I'm selling it, and the answer is simple: I enjoy road-racing, and while the Viper is hands-down the best tool for the job, I simply can't afford the risk of crashing it. I absolutely love this car, and it has taken more than a year to make the decision to put it up for sale.

Before opening up the exhaust it dynoed at 422 HP / 456 TQ at the wheels, which equates to about 520 engine HP if you take the slightly pessimistic 15% drivetrain loss. With the open exhaust, it should be making even more power. The photos at the bottom of the page link to a dyno sheet showing the 422 HP run (along with two earlier runs, one with the VEC1 zeroed, and one with the VEC1 seat-of-the-pants setting prior to dyno tuning it).

The condition is very good. The paint has only had Zaino applied to it -- no waxes or other compounds -- and it has always been garage-kept and washed weekly. The lower part of the front fascia shows regular wear for a Viper with this mileage (they are low, so they do scrape things) but overall the condition is very good. If you're at all familiar with Vipers, you'll see nothing unusual for a Viper with this mileage.

Although the car was driven at several school-rules track dates (SAFE Motorsports events and events arranged as part of the Dodge Viper Owners Invitational 8), it was very carefully maintained. All fluids were replaced with Royal Purple synthetics before and after each event, and as you can see from the modifications list I tried to ensure the car was set up right. The mileage was largely highway miles.

This car is extremely fast even compared to other Vipers with similar modifications, and the enormous brakes and other parts all ensure the safest possible application of the power delivered by that 488 cubic inch V10.

It comes with more than $15,000 worth of parts and modifications:
